James Lyons

James Lyons, CEO

By age 26 Jim was Managing Director of an International Marketing organization. Building upon his drive, interpersonal skills and marketing insights, Jim parlayed his background into a key leadership position with GE where he led a $90MM marketing and sales division.  Jim went on to lead marketing and eCommerce for financial firm Conseco and strategy at MarchFirst prior to joining Omnicom.

Jim became President of Optima Direct (a division of Rapp) and turned it into the highest performing division within Omnicom.  From there he was tapped to “turn around”  Rapp NY –while continuing to run Optima Direct.  After a couple of years stint and tripling revenues, Jim was again promoted, this time to President of Rapp North America, with responsibilities for New York, Chicago, LA and Dallas and 1,000 employees.

Jim holds a BA from Seton Hall University, is a graduate of the Omnicom University (Harvard Business School) graduate program, is a Board member of Epic Research, and a former Board Member of the DMA and Rapp’s Global Board of Directors.

Jorge Villar, Founder & President

Since co-founding RME in 1995, Jorge has served as the primary marketing concept developer and champion of the company’s new products in his role as President. He has worked in the direct marketing industry for over 20 years and has been involved in over 400,000 direct mail promotions for medium to large companies around the United States and Canada. He is credited with developing a collection of powerful and innovative marketing concepts, that have grown to become some of the most successful prospecting programs in the country.

These “Neighborhood Marketing Concepts” use his unique social approach like –dinner seminars and events, personalized creative lead generation mailings and other innovative one-to-one meetings to deliver qualified prospects to RME’s clients. Jorge is a respected National speaker for Financial Advisors, Insurance agents and National sale-forces that have a need for turn-key marketing systems.

He helped RME gain Nation popularity as one of the first direct marketing agencies to ever reach a 4% response rate and a 98% fill-room rate in the financial services industry. Jorge is originally from Mexico City and brings a passionate enthusiastic approach to his daily life. He resides in Tampa with his wife and two teenagers.

John Sharby, COO

John Sharby joined RME in 2003 and has over 25 years experience in the direct marketing industry. In this role, he is responsible for directing all aspects of the company’s operational policies and initiatives. Prior to joining RME, John held various leadership positions with Valpak Direct Marketing Systems, Inc. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Finance and a Masters degree in Business Administration.

Kent Jones, CFO

As RME’s CFO, Kent Jones oversees all accounting, finance and purchasing functions, including budgeting & forecasting, reporting, taxes and risk management. Kent joined RME in 2010 after serving as VP of Finance at Walter Energy, a fortune 1,000 mining company. Kent wrote Walter’s corporate accounting policies, managed their Sarbanes Oxley compliance and played a key role in implementing its ERP system. Prior to joining Walter, Kent was Controller of Jim Walter Homes, a regional home builder, where he managed the accounting and finance functions. Before Jim Walter Homes, Kent was Director of Strategic Planning at Intermedia Communications a mid-size telecommunications company, where he played an integral role in numerous acquisitions and capital offerings. Kent is a CPA and earned his Bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the University of Florida.

Greg Duss, Vice President of Sales

In his role as Vice President of Sales, Greg uses his dynamic and results-oriented approach to marketing, operations and business development to lead the organization’s sales initiatives. He has extensive experience in the consumer/business to business services, healthcare, technology, and telecommunications industries, and a strong track record in increasing market share and sales volume throughout his career. His leadership and exemplary approach to strategic and tactical planning, account management, brand management, competitive analysis, direct and online marketing help him foster strong channel relationships. He successfully integrates all areas of the organization into aligned teams focused on a common strategy, mission and vision to help exceed business goals.

John McCloskey, Vice President of Corporate Sales

John McCloskey is the Vice President of Corporate Sales with RME, and has been with RME since 1998. A former agent with several major life insurance companies, John understands the challenges and opportunities that advisors encounter in regards to marketing their services. John has helped thousands of advisors maximize their seminar and financial marketing programs, and has assisted RME in many areas including the training and mentoring of RME sales consultants, representing RME by conducting corporate presentations and developing recruiting, business owner and Physician marketing programs. John is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.




Armando

Armando Villar, Vice President of Operations

Armando joined the RME team back in 1998 when the company was still relatively small, bringing with him thirteen years of experience working in the paper and print industry. Since then he has worked in and or managed many of the production departments in RME and is now the Production Superintendent overseeing Customer Service, List research, Art, Web Ops, Data Processing, Laser Printing and RSVP.

Jeff Diangelo, Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales for RME, Jeff understands the challenges and opportunities that organizations face in today’s dynamic environment. He relies on over 20 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies and startups to provide the insight needed to drive results. Jeff joined RME in 2003 and has been leading strategic initiatives for the last several years.

Jeff grew up in New Jersey, graduated from Rutgers University and traded NYC for Tampa in 2000. He lives in Tierra Verde with his wife and their three children.




scott thomas

Scott Thomas, Director of Sales

Scott Thomas comes to us with over 20 years experience in the Marketing and Ad Agency experience. After 5 1/2 years of building the marketing department at BIC Pens Corporation, he joined forces with a Tampa based Ad agency. Starting with about $700,000 in annual sales when he joined, the agency grew to a major player in the next 5 years with sales well into $9,000,000 annually. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to launch many marketing and advertising ventures during this time that have all flourished. He has personally branded over 15,600 small to medium businesses world-wide. A diligent and tireless work ethic is the basis of his marketing success. At the end of 2006 Scott was approached by RME to head up its marketing department to take an already proven system to next level. Early in 2009 Scott was promoted to Director of Sales Operation where he oversees 28 Senior Marketing Consultants and hundreds of campaigns per month.

Scott Marvin, Director of I.T.

Scott Marvin came to RME in 2002 to move RME’s technology and datacenter to the next level. Scott has over 22 years in the I.T. industry and has held positions with the Home Shopping Network, Vela Research, Precision Systems and Tech Data. He is formally trained in Cisco Systems, VMWare, Citrix Metaframe and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Scott lives in Clearwater with his wife and 2 children.




Biju

Biju Kattuparambil, Director of I.S.

Biju joins RME’s technology team with a long history of success in large organizations. Previous to RME, Biju worked for Frontier Communications and Verizon, where he was integral in implementing programs to further the companies capabilities. He has an MBA in Management Information Systems from MVR, and Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering.

Sybil Price, Director of H.R.

Sybil joined the RME team in 2005, heading up the human resources department. Coming to RME from the printing industry, Sybil brought with her over 20 years of experience in human resources and printing/manufacturing. She has a dual degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix and her Human Resources Certification from the University of South Florida. Sybil earned and has maintained her Professional Human Resource Certification for over 10 years. Her daily commitment is to make RME a place where people love to work.

Barry Kahler, Production Superintendent

Barry Kahler has been with RME since summer 2003, bringing over 15 years of direct mail management and numerous USPS Professional Certifications to his role of Production Superintendent. Barry relies on his extensive background in direct mail, shipping, logistics, resource planning and a vast network within the industry to maintain RME’s high standards.
